An Octarine engine in the rebuilding process

This section is under development - not all the pictures came out well, so there are some gaps to be filled later. The engine being built here is an 18V 847 type from 1976. I will cover the differences of other types in due course.

I have now developed individual pages to cover different aspects / stages in the rebuild process.

1. Fitting the crankshaft

2. Fitting pistons

3. Other operations on the block

4. Front plate and timing gear

5. Degreeing the camshaft

6. Restoring an oil pump

7. Replacing the core plugs

8. Fitting the valves

9. The rocker gear

10. Fitting the head

More to come......
